  • Bowel injury, vaginal shortening, problems urinating (cannot empty bladder, urgent or frequent need to urinate, leaking urine)

Myomectomy is surgery to remove uterine fibroids. Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths of tissue (almost always noncancerous) that develop in the uterus.   • Tubal Ligations
It’s also known as having your tubes tied or tubal sterilization. During this surgery, the fallopian tubes most often are cut and tied to prevent pregnancy for the rest of your life. Tubal ligation prevents an egg from moving from the ovaries and down to the uterus through the fallopian tubes.
  • Ovarian Cysts
Ovarian cysts are common growths that develop on or inside your ovaries.
The da Vinci system can be utilized for robotic Ovarian Cystectomy (removal of an ovarian cyst) or robotic Oophorectomy (removal of an ovary).
  • Ectopic Pregnancy
An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg grows outside of the uterus. Almost all ectopic pregnancies—more than 90%—occur in a fallopian tube. Salpingostomy and Salpingectomy are surgery procedures to treat Ectopic Pregnancy. In a salpingostomy, the ectopic pregnancy is removed and the tube left to heal on its own.
