Chronic or acute pelvic pain may be experienced as constant pain or a dull ache in the abdominal area, or pain that comes and goes. It may also include burning or pain with urination, vaginal discharge and discomfort during intercourse. Pelvic pain is often described in one or more ways.

Depending on your specific condition, your doctor may employ advanced diagnostic procedures such as laparoscopy, cystoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, intravenous pyelography, X-rays, and MRI or CT scans.
We may also recommend that you see a gastroenterologist or urologist if the condition does not appear to be gynecological in nature.
